On behalf of Somali Orthopedic Association, we extend our sincere gratitude to all our esteemed presenters and moderators for contributing their time and expertise to this year’s SOA conference. Your dedication is vital in advancing orthopedic care and education in Somalia and beyond.
All presenters at the SOA Conference are required to disclose any financial relationships at the beginning of their presentation using the standard disclosure slide provided. This slide should follow the title slide.
Your presentation must be evidence-based, scientifically balanced and free from promotional content or company logos. Ensure that all clinical recommendations have citations supporting your argument.
Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times, and presenters should refrain from including any copyrighted material without permission.
All speakers are kindly requested to follow these guidelines:
1.Time Management: Each speaker is allocated 10 minutes strictly. A session moderator will signal at 8 minutes and close at 10. Please rehearse beforehand to stay within this limit.
2. Slide Limit: Limit your presentation to 15-20 slides or fewer, focusing on clear, concise content. Avoid overcrowded slides; use visuals and bullet points instead of text-heavy slides.
3. Presentation Structure: Use the following format for a coherent and professional delivery:
A. Title Slide (Name, Affiliation, Topic) followed by Introduction / Background
B. Objectives
C. Main Content (e.g., Methods, Cases, Experiences, Results)
D. Conclusion / Take Home Messages
E. Optional: 1 Slide for Recommendations or Future Directions
4. Use Somalia-Relevant Data or Experiences: Whenever possible, tailor your message to Somalia’s orthopedic context, including local challenges, resources, and patient needs.
5. Technical Submission: All slides must be submitted at least by 5th July 2025.
