About SOA
The Somali Orthopedic Association (SOA) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing orthopedic services in Somalia.
Founded by a group of passionate orthopedic surgeons; SOA is a leading authority in the field of orthopedics, with a primary focus on education, research, and community engagement.
Vision: To improve the musculoskeletal health and well-being of the Somali people by providing the highest standards of orthopedic care.
Mission: Somali Orthopedic Association (SOA) is committed to advancing the field of orthopedics in Somalia through education, research, and collaboration.
The Somali Orthopedic Association is dedicated to develop the Musculoskeletal healthcare in Somalia and we welcome individuals and organizations that share our vision to join us in this important journey.
Although the practice of Orthopaedics in Somalia dates back to the early years of the twentieth century, The Somali Orthopaedic Association (SOA) was officially launched on 7th July 2022.
Currently, SOA has about 40 Orthopaedic Surgeons practicing in different states of the country.
